Amanda Cooper, M.Ed., LPC

Hi!  I’m Amanda.

I believe that each element of a person’s life story is important, influencing who they are and the way in which they function in their world.  I hope to provide you with a safe, supportive and nurturing place to unravel these experiences and make sense of your story, empowering you to grow, heal, and learn to navigate your world.

The society we live in is stressful, complicated, and full of expectations that can feel overwhelming and difficult regardless of the stage of life.  I work with individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing a range of behavioral and mental health concerns to address contributing factors and find relief from distressing symptoms. I have personal and professional experience navigating the complexities of foster care and adoption, and am passionate about supporting all children, parents and caregivers in developing healthy attachment.

I believe in the transformative power of nurturing healthy relationships—with ourselves and with others. In counseling, I take a relational approach, focusing on your strengths, as well as using my knowledge of nurturing healthy attachment and how our brains work to guide our sessions. My practice is trauma-informed and emphasizes nervous system regulation and mindfulness-based interventions. Additionally, I integrate expressive interventions such as sandtray, play, and art techniques to support clients of all phases of life in expressing and processing their experiences.

I am a certified EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapist and utilize this technique with clients coping with a range of distressing or traumatic experiences. I am also trained in nervous system regulation and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, all of which allow me to provide tailored care for diverse needs.

I am so glad you are here. You matter. Your story matters.

Larisa Brown, LMSW

Hello! My name is Larisa.

My hope is to walk alongside you and help you build tools to manage whatever you may be experiencing in life. Whether you are struggling with parenting, your relationship, life changes, or another circumstance, I aim to support you through that journey. I take a person-centered approach in therapy where I support you through your self-exploration and encouraging you to meet the goals you have for yourself.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. This experience includes working with individuals who have experienced trauma, children and families involved with the child welfare system, including kinship care, foster care and adoption, and individuals who have experienced human trafficking.
